Benefits of Ingredients

Vinegar and washing soda react together to kill all kinds of bacteria and make it easy for dust and dirt to be wiped off. Dishwashing soap, on the other hand, makes the liquid frothy and leaves your floor smelling very fresh. This natural cleaner works for all types of the floor from wood to tiles and is very convenient for people who have a different kind in each room. But, if you’re looking for a cleaner specially made for wooden floors then you can try out the second recipe. Lemon juice will make your floor bacteria free while olive oil will provide a natural gleam to the dull wood. A homemade cleaner is not only easy to make but takes up just a few pennies as compared to the tons of dollars you spend on floor cleaners every year. Besides, there are times when the commercial cleaners leave behind smudges that you have to scrub really hard to remove. While our homemade cleaner not only removes all traces of dirt in a single sweep but it is also made up of natural ingredients that are completely harmless to health. So now, you don’t need to worry about your children running around barefooted on the wet floor.

Directions

Take a bucket and pour white vinegar, washing soda and dishwashing soap into it. Shake them together until everything is mixed well and add to a gallon of tap water to dilute the solution. Your homemade floor cleaner is ready to wipe your floor spot and speckless clean. For a wooden floor, mix olive oil and lemon juice in a bucket and then add water to it.

Finishing Up

All you have to do is dip your mop in the bucket full of cleaner and wipe it on the floor. You will see that the mop leaves behind a much cleaner floor. You can add a part of this cleaner in a spray bottle to spray in the nooks and corner that the mop won’t reach and then wipe them with a paper towel. Also, leave the windows open or turn on the fan when you’re done moping so that the room doesn’t feel humid or stuffy after the cleaning is done.
