Benefits of Ingredients

Hydrogen peroxide is a colorless liquid, which is popular for its great oxidizing properties. It acts as a bleaching agent and removes bacteria and stains from any surface. Essential oils will provide softness to the carpet, and will now allow the bleaching process to do any damage to its exteriors. Dishwashing soap has sodium chloride, which is also used to remove stains from the dirty surface. Only with antibacterial properties, white vinegar instantly soaks up any discoloration in the carpet and is also safe for use in household cleaning. Water is a great binding agent for this mixture.

Directions

Take your mixing bowl and add all the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly with a spatula and then slowly mix in the liquid ingredients one by one, until it becomes a smooth paste. Once the consistency of the ingredients is achieved, add water. Fill in your spray bottle and store the rest in a plastic bag for later use.

Finishing Up

Spray a generous amount of mixture on your affected areas of your carpet, and scrub it gently. Leave it on for few minutes, and then rinse with water. Even the hardest stains like spilled coffee and wine marks will easily come out after first use. Repeat the steps if necessary. Unlike industrial cleaners, your homemade carpet cleaners do not contain any chemicals. Hence there are no risks of allergies in your home. They will cleanse your carpet gently, without damaging its shine and appearance.
